Nelson Alfonso is one of the most respected names in boutique cigar production. Through Selected Tobacco, his Dominican Republic based factory, Alfonso has spent decades producing limited, meticulously crafted releases that consistently rank among the most sought after in the premium cigar world. The Bandolero line represents some of his finest work, and the Firecracker series within it has become legendary among collectors who understand what Alfonso is capable of when given the freedom to work without compromise.
The Bandolero Firecracker 2026 is the culmination of two years of patient post roll aging, a deliberate, unhurried process that sets this release apart from everything else in the Firecracker lineup. Built on a complex multi origin filler of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Peruvian tobaccos, secured with an Ecuadorian binder, and enveloped in a dark, oily 5th Priming Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper historically reserved for the prestigious Bandolero Aventureros line, this cigar carries serious pedigree from the very first glance.
At 3½ x 50, the Firecracker format is preserved in its iconic form, a short, powerful smoke that concentrates the blend's depth and intensity into every draw. Two years of aging have smoothed and harmonized these tobaccos into something cohesive and complex. Expect dark chocolate, espresso, earth, dried fruit, and a rich, lingering sweetness from the Maduro wrapper that builds beautifully from first light to the final draw.
Presented in cedar aging boxes of 20, with every element of this release, from the hand selected tobaccos to the box design, crafted to celebrate the Bandolero name and the prestige of the Firecracker series.
A cigar destined to be sought after by collectors and connoisseurs alike. A true hallmark of excellence in limited edition releases.
