Brancaia Chianti Classico Riserva is a remarkably structured, elegant, and expressive organic Tuscan red wine that beautifully blends the power of estate-grown Sangiovese with the plushness of Merlot. Sourced from choice vineyard plots in Castellina and Radda in Chianti, the Sangiovese component is aged for 16 months in French oak tonneaux, while the Merlot component matures in French oak barriques before the final blend is bottled. It opens with an expressive, fragrant bouquet of ripe black cherries, wild strawberries, and red plums, seamlessly layered with complex notes of leather, sweet baking spices, warm tobacco leaf, and tilled earth. On the palate, this medium-to-full-bodied red displays spectacular harmony, balancing a juicy red fruit core with vibrant, lifting acidity and highly structured, fine-grained tannins that provide excellent longevity and lead to a long, mineral-driven, and highly savory finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs exquisitely with grilled Florentine steak, rosemary-roasted rack of lamb, rich wild boar ragù over pappardelle, or well-aged Tuscan pecorino cheese.
