CAO's Amazon Basin has been one of the most distinctive releases in the General Cigar portfolio since its debut in 2014. Built around the rare and indigenous Braganca tobacco from the Amazonian region of Acre, Brazil, a leaf found nowhere else in the premium cigar world, Amazon Basin delivers a truly unique smoking experience that continues to captivate enthusiasts with every release.
For 2026, CAO has taken this celebrated blend and introduced it in an exciting new format: the Dagger. Measuring just 4 x 38, this compact powerhouse delivers all the complexity and character of the original Amazon Basin in a quick, concentrated smoke that fits any schedule. Whether you have thirty minutes to spare or simply want a shorter cigar without sacrificing flavor, the Amazon Basin Dagger offers the perfect solution.
Wrapped in a flavorful Sumatran leaf over a Nicaraguan binder, the blend is anchored by a three country filler combination of Dominican, Colombian, and rare Brazilian Braganca tobaccos. The result is a medium plus profile that opens with the earthy, slightly wild character that made Amazon Basin famous, revealing notes of dark wood, leather, natural sweetness, earth, and subtle spice with a finish that lingers well beyond its small stature.
Distinctive, flavorful, and unlike anything else on the market, the CAO Amazon Basin Dagger proves that exceptional complexity can come in compact packages. For longtime Amazon Basin devotees and adventurous smokers alike, this is a release worth hunting down.
