As elegant as the masterpieces of its namesake, the Raphael features a coppery, toothy wrapper and a flavor profile that is both warm and inviting, yet surprisingly bold. This robusto cigar transitions from notes of peanut oil and cocoa powder to a slightly bitter over-roasted coffee tone, culminating in an herbal finish that lingers on the palate. Ideal for enthusiasts of herbal roasted cigars, the Raphael offers a satisfying experience for those who appreciate the nuances of an over-roasted coffee cigar.
This cigar is a testament to the art of blending, offering a symphony of flavors that evolve and surprise with each puff.
Upon lighting, the Raphael reveals primary notes of peanut oil and cocoa powder, which gracefully blend to create a warm and inviting initial impression. These rich flavors are complemented by subtle hints of raisin, adding a layer of complexity to the smoke. However, as the session progresses, the flavor profile takes a bold turn with the emergence of an over-roasted coffee tone, introducing a slightly bitter edge that leads into an herbal finish.
Despite these intense flavors, the Raphael maintains a balanced profile, rated with an aroma and strength of three out of five. This moderation ensures that the cigar remains accessible and enjoyable, suitable for a wide range of palates and perfect for those moments of quiet reflection or casual conversation.
