Italy’s famed Piedmont region is home to Barolo, often referred to as the "King of Wines". Within this appellation, Cannubi stands as its most prestigious cru, nestled in the heart of Barolo itself. Fratelli Borgogno is a historic, family-owned estate with deep roots in the Langhe hills, known for producing traditionally styled Barolos that reflect the elegance and longevity of the terroir. Their dedication to low-intervention winemaking and respect for the land continues to guide their philosophy today.
Wine Description
The 2021 Barolo Cannubi presents a luminous garnet red hue, typical of Nebbiolo, with a complex bouquet of dried roses, cherries, sweet tobacco, and hints of truffle and tar. On the palate, it opens with precision and grace—flavours of red currant, cranberry, and licorice are supported by firm, fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity. The wine is medium to full-bodied with a long, mineral-driven finish and a touch of spice. Composed entirely of Nebbiolo, it showcases the Cannubi cru’s hallmark balance and finesse.
