Flavor, brewing & the story behind this coffee
We begin with premium 100% Arabica coffee beans, freshly roasted in small batches in Maxatawny, Pennsylvania. After roasting, the beans are flavored with smooth French vanilla to create a rich, velvety cup with creamy vanilla flavor and a mellow custard-like finish.
French vanilla is a classic for good reason. It complements the coffee without overpowering it, creating a smooth and satisfying cup that’s perfect for breakfast, an afternoon break or relaxing after dinner.
The Story Behind Cardiac Cath™
The inspiration for Cardiac Cath™ comes from another chapter of my career in medicine.
I worked in a cardiology office with Dr. Fried, where I performed nuclear stress tests on patients being evaluated for heart disease and possible coronary blockages.
It also happens to be where I met my wife.
When it came time to name our French Vanilla Flavored Coffee, that cardiology connection seemed like the perfect fit.
A cardiac catheterization—often called a cardiac cath—is a procedure used to evaluate the heart and coronary arteries for problems such as blockages. Fortunately, with Cardiac Cath™, there’s no blockage of flavor.
Enjoy it black for a smooth, vanilla-forward cup. Add a splash of cream to bring out even more of its rich French vanilla character, or pour it over ice for a refreshing vanilla coffee.
French Vanilla Coffee Beans or Ground Coffee
Choose fresh-ground coffee for convenient brewing or whole bean coffee for grinding at home. Cardiac Cath™ French Vanilla Flavored Coffee is available in 12-ounce, 16-ounce and 5-pound bags.
Freshly roasted and packed by Firehouse Coffee, Cardiac Cath™ delivers a classic French vanilla flavor with a story that comes straight from the heart.
What is French vanilla coffee?
Our French vanilla coffee is roasted Arabica coffee with added creamy vanilla flavor and custard-like notes. The flavor is applied after roasting, so you brew the flavored beans or grounds just as you would your usual coffee.
Should I choose French vanilla ground coffee or whole bean?
Choose ground coffee for convenient brewing without a grinder. Choose whole bean if you want to grind just before brewing and adjust the grind for your drip brewer, pour-over or French press.
Can I buy French vanilla in decaf or K-Cups?
Yes. Choose French vanilla decaf coffee, regular French vanilla K-Cups or French vanilla decaf K-Cups. To compare other vanilla flavor combinations, browse our vanilla coffee collection.
Firehouse Coffee is owned by Mike Adams, a retired firefighter and MedEvac flight paramedic with over 40 years of service. Every small batch comes from our Maxatawny, Pennsylvania roastery. Meet Mike.
