Hakutsuru Plum Wine is a Japanese fruit wine made with selected Ume plums and bottled at 12.5% ABV. Hakutsuru traces its brewing history to Kobe in 1743, and this expression brings a bright plum profile to an easy-drinking 750 mL format.
The aroma is distinctly fruity, led by ripe plum and fresh orchard notes. On the palate, a semi-sweet character is balanced by lively acidity, creating a combination of soft fruit, gentle sweetness, and a lightly tangy edge. The finish is bright, clean, and pleasantly tart rather than heavy.
Serve it chilled, over ice, or at cool room temperature. It can accompany fruit desserts, mild cheeses, or a simple after-dinner pour, and it also works as a plum-forward component in a highball or sparkling cocktail. The balanced sweet-and-tart profile makes it accessible for wine drinkers exploring Japanese Ume-based styles.
