Wrapper: Nicaraguan (Cafe Rosado Corojo)
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Profile: Medium
Built around a blend of Nicaraguan Criollo '98 and Corojo '99 tobaccos, the Illusione eccj focuses on carefully selected farm specific, lower priming leaves that deliver exceptional balance and complexity. Finished with a beautiful AAA Grade Cafe Rosado Corojo wrapper, this mild to medium bodied Nicaraguan puro offers the refined character and elegance that have become hallmarks of Illusione's portfolio.
Released to commemorate the anniversary of the European Cigar Cult Journal, now known as Cigar Journal, the eccj has earned a loyal following among boutique cigar enthusiasts. Despite its approachable profile, it delivers remarkable complexity, beginning with a pleasant natural sweetness before evolving into notes of cedar, baking spice, earth, roasted nuts, and a spicy wood finish that lingers on the palate.
Awarded an impressive 92 point rating from Halfwheel, the Illusione eccj showcases why Dion Giolito continues to be regarded as one of the industry's most respected boutique blenders. Complex, refined, and deeply rewarding, this cigar offers a smoking experience that continues to evolve well beyond the first draw.
