Winter Jack is genuinely a holiday staple at this point — a seasonal blend of apple cider liqueur and Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey, built around holiday spices and based on an original family recipe tied directly to Jack's own home in Lynchburg, Tennessee. It returns to shelves every October for a limited run through the holiday season, genuinely designed as a ready-to-serve, low-proof warmer rather than a sipping whiskey — the kind of bottle you pull out specifically for cold nights with friends and family.
The official tasting notes describe "enticing aromas of apple cider, orange peel, cinnamon and Jack Daniel's," with "reminiscent flavors of apple pie" rounding out "with a toasted oak and vanilla finish." Nestor Liquor's own copy describes the nose as "a delightful aroma of baked apples, sweet cinnamon, and a hint of classic Jack Daniel's caramel," the palate "a sweet and smooth wave of fresh apple cider, warm baking spices — cinnamon, clove, nutmeg — and the unmistakable, gentle character of Tennessee whiskey." This is genuinely easygoing, festive, crowd-pleasing holiday fare — best served warm, straight from the stove, or chilled over ice for an easy seasonal sipper.
