Tilt it forward and the lid opens itself. Set it back down and it closes. The Kinto Capsule Cold Brew Carafe turns cold brewing into a one-handed act with its tilt-activated auto-open lid, allowing you to pour from any direction without twisting a cap or fumbling with a cover. It's the kind of thoughtful design that makes your morning cold brew (or your afternoon iced tea) feel just a little more effortless.
The built-in fine mesh filter keeps grounds and fines out of your glass. Whether you're brewing a rich cold brew concentrate or cold-steeped tea, the Capsule keeps things clean and sediment-free.
Made with heat-resistant glass, the Capsule bottle handles temperatures up to 120°C/248°F and is both microwave and dishwasher safe. The lid is dishwasher safe too (up to 90°C/194°F). When it's time for a deeper clean, the whole carafe disassembles easily so every component gets properly washed.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About the Kinto Capsule Cold Brew Carafe
How does the auto-open lid work?
When you tilt the carafe forward to pour, the lid opens automatically. When you set it back upright, the lid closes on its own — no cap twisting required. You can pour comfortably with one hand from any direction.
Can I use the Capsule carafe for tea as well as coffee?
Yes. The fine mesh filter and carafe design work just as well for cold-steep tea as they do for cold brew coffee.
Is the entire carafe dishwasher safe?
Both the glass bottle and the lid components are dishwasher safe. The bottle has a maximum temperature of 120°C/248°F, and the lid has a maximum temperature of 90°C/194°F.
Can I use the bottle in the microwave?
The glass bottle is microwave safe. Do not place the lid or filter components in the microwave.
How do I clean the mesh filter?
The carafe fully disassembles for cleaning. If coffee oil builds up and clogs the filter, soak it in warm water, then wash with a neutral detergent. When reinserting the filter into a water-filled carafe, sink it slowly as surface tension around the mesh can cause water to overflow.
Is the carafe completely sealed?
The carafe is not completely sealed, so keep it upright when stored or transported while filled. Always make sure the lid is closed securely before pouring.
Can I pour hot liquids into the glass bottle?
The glass bottle is heat-resistant up to 120°C/248°F. Avoid sudden temperature changes. Do not pour cold liquids into a hot bottle, and do not place a hot bottle on a wet cloth or wet surface.
