Macaloney's An Loy is a refined Canadian single malt whisky crafted on Vancouver Island using British Columbia malted barley and matured in a selection of Kentucky bourbon, Spanish Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and Portuguese red wine casks. It opens with delicate fruit and floral aromas, followed by notes of oak, vanilla, malt, and a subtle coastal character. The creamy palate reveals caramelized orange, fruit cake, blackcurrant, juicy malt, and warming wood spices, with a touch of sea salt adding further complexity. A lingering dry oak finish completes this smooth and layered single malt.
This distinctive whisky showcases Macaloney's signature balance of rich cask influence and vibrant Canadian single malt character. The combination of bourbon, sherry, and red wine casks creates depth and complexity while preserving its elegant fruit-forward profile. Enjoy Macaloney's An Loy neat or with a few drops of water to explore its evolving layers of fruit, spice, oak, and malt. It is an excellent choice for Canadian whisky enthusiasts and anyone seeking a sophisticated Vancouver Island single malt.
