Massenez Liqueur de Roquefort is a bold and highly unconventional French savory liqueur that expertly bottles the pungent, umami-rich essence of authentic blue cheese in a smooth, sweet-and-salty liquid format. Crafted by the historic Distillerie G.E. Massenez in Alsace, this adventurous 25% ABV spirit is made by macerating real Roquefort PDO cheese, yielding an incredibly unique flavor profile where a rich dairy funk and saline minerality meet a gentle honeyed sweetness, subtle roasted nuts, and floral hints of jasmine. Ideal for daring mixologists, it serves as a stunning modifier in savory cocktails—like a gin martini or pairs beautifully with banana and pear spirits—while creative chefs can use its velvety finish to deglaze gourmet sauces, drizzle over walnut salads, or elevate fruit desserts.
