Montelobos Espadin Mezcal
Distilled from 100% organic agave Espadin in the heart of Oaxaca. Roasting the agave hearts in traditional earthen pits, imparting a smoky and earthy flavour profile. Distilled in copper pot stills, this mezcal offers a complex balance of sweetness, smokiness, and vegetal notes.
- A captivating aroma of fresh-cut grass, wet soil, and a touch of honey. Accented by hints of ash and smokiness from the agave roasting process
- The palate reveals a balanced sweetness intertwined with roasted agave, herbal undertones, and a pronounced smokiness that gradually unfolds into dried fruit nuances
- The finish lingers beautifully, leaving notes of dark chocolate, green pepper, and a subtle hint of charred wood, culminating in a robust and satisfying finish
Montelobos is committed to sustainable practices and supports local communities in Oaxaca and is certified organic. Enjoy this award winning mezcal neat, or as a base for a variety of cocktails. Our favourite, a smoky margarita.
