Old Forester 86 Proof Bourbon
The bourbon that started it all. Created in 1870 by George Garvin Brown, Old Forester became America's first bottled bourbon—a revolutionary act that guaranteed quality and consistency in an era of questionable whiskey. Today, it remains the only bourbon continuously distilled and marketed by the founding family before, during, and after Prohibition.
Bottled at 86 proof, this is bourbon in its most approachable form. The signature Old Forester recipe delivers rich caramel, vanilla, and oak notes balanced by hints of fruit and gentle spice, with a smooth, mellow finish that makes it incredibly versatile.
This is the bourbon that belongs everywhere: sipped neat to appreciate its heritage, served on the rocks for easy enjoyment, or mixed into classic cocktails like an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, or Whiskey Sour. It's the kind of reliable, well-crafted bourbon that has earned its place on bars around the world for over 150 years.
Perfect for bourbon newcomers discovering what real Kentucky whiskey tastes like, and for seasoned enthusiasts who appreciate timeless quality at an honest price.
