Introducing the Pesado High Diffusion shower screen. Designed for precision and consistency, eliminating the main issues causing irregular extractions.
Uneven water distribution has always been an issue when trying to achieve consistent extractions, this can be caused by the irregular water flow path through mesh shower screens, smaller surface area coverage and uneven puck infusion. Utilizing 18 channels we can target the exact spots every extraction, resulting in consistent water flow between every shot.
Combined with the unique feature of the outer channels running all the way to the edge of the shower screen, controlling water flow to target the entire puck bed right to the basket edge, giving us complete control over our water diffusion every shot.
Key features:
- 18 Targeted Channels
- Precision Water Diffusion
- High Surface Coverage

Seal Compatibility Notice:
When installing Pesado HD (High Diffusion) Shower Screen, you may notice that your portafilter feels slightly loose. Don’t worry, this is completely normal. The HD screen is specifically designed to work best when paired with the HE (High Extraction) baskets - for the best coffee experience.
If you're not using an HE basket and prefer your portafilter to lock in closer to the 6 o’clock position, here are a few easy solutions:
A. Use a shim behind the group seal.
You can purchase pre-made spacers or DIY your own using household paper materials, adjusting thickness as needed.
B. Try a thicker group seal.
Group seals are available in small size increments (typically 0.5mm or 1mm).
C. Upgrade to a HE Basket
Pair your HD screen with Pesado HE basket for the perfect fit and performance.
The HD Shower Screen Engineered for NS, Victoria Arduino, Mavam & Breville 58mm The Pesado HD High Diffusion MV Shower Screen brings the same 18-channel precision diffusion technology as the E61 version — but engineered specifically for the machine families that use a different group head standard. If you're running a Nuova Simonelli, Victoria Arduino, Mavam, or Breville 58mm machine, this is the correct HD screen for your setup. The underlying engineering is identical: 18 precisely machined channels that target the full 58.35mm surface area of the puck bed, with outer channels running all the way to the rim to ensure edge-to-edge coverage on every shot.
Why Standard Mesh Shower Screens Fall Short Stock mesh shower screens create unpredictable water flow paths — the mesh geometry means water finds different paths on each shot, making repeatability difficult even when everything else in your puck prep is dialled in. They also cover only up to around 54mm in diameter, leaving the outer 4–5mm of the puck bed under-saturated and contributing to extraction inconsistency along the basket wall. The Pesado HD MV screen eliminates both of these problems: the channel system delivers water to the same 18 locations on every extraction, and the 58.35mm diameter reaches the full puck bed edge to edge, shot after shot, without variation.
What's Included & Seal Compatibility The MV-HD set includes one 58.35mm HD shower screen (3mm thick, 304 stainless steel) and one MV-HD diffusion plate (5.4mm thick, 57.5mm diameter). Note: the diffusion plate replaces the standard stock plate in your group head — you'll use your existing shower screen screw to install the set. No additional hardware is required beyond what's already on your machine.
Seal compatibility notice: The 3mm thickness of the HD screen may cause your portafilter to lock in slightly looser than usual — this is normal and fully resolves when paired with the Pesado He[%] High Extraction Basket (recommended). If you're not using an HE basket, a thicker group seal or a group head shim will restore the standard lock position.
