Poplar Grove 'Library Collection' The Legacy is a monumentally structured, opulent, and cellar-matured Canadian icon red wine that serves as the absolute pinnacle of the Naramata Bench. Released exclusively from the winery's back-vintages after years of patient, professional bottle aging, this flagship Bordeaux-style blend presents a deep garnet-red hue with subtle bricking at the rim. The nose uncoils with an expressive, highly complex bouquet of ripe cassis, dried black plums, and caramelized figs, seamlessly interwoven with tertiary notes of eucalyptus, dusty mountain sage, sweet cigar box, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it exhibits a full-bodied, dense, and beautifully unified framework where a concentrated core of black forest fruits is balanced by a refreshing vein of natural acidity and completely softened, velvet-textured tannins. Having spent 21 months in traditional French oak barriques prior to its multi-year cellaring, it finishes with immense sophistication, poise, and a lingering, savory Okanagan mineral grip.
Food Pairing: Pairs spectacularly with charcoal-grilled dry-aged ribeye steak, roasted venison loin with a juniper berry reduction, rosemary-crusted rack of lamb, or slow-cooked savory beef brisket.
