A beautiful blend of local varieties, predominantly Nero di Troia with the remaining being Montepulciano, the Rivera Il Falcone Riserva 2017 displays aromas of dark cherry, raspberry, tobacco and baking spices. The palate brings bright acidity to the forefront, with fruit flavours of tart cherry and subtle notes of minerality, herbal notes and tobacco. Well integrated tannins and bright acidity lead into a lingering finish. Pair this with a mushroom risotto for the perfect meal!

'The nose of this wine gives off potting soil and pencil shavings, with quieter aromas of cherries, strawberries and a brief note of violets. The palate gives more room to the berries and flower petals, held up by structured tannins and plenty of acid and heat.'
