Turned out at 57.7% ABV in a 750ml bottle, Sipsmith London V.J.O.P Gin leans into concentration rather than restraint. The V.J.O.P label marks a bespoke release built on hand-picked gin botanicals and a higher proof, so the juniper arrives front and center with citrus and spice close behind.
Floral botanicals fill out the middle of the palate before the strength carries through to a warm finish. It's a straightforward demonstration of what the London distillery's gin-making approach can do when the proof is pushed upward.
