Summer in Texas absolutely demands an uncompromising pour. Still Austin completely obliterated their standard playbook to craft this magnificent Bottled in Bond Red Corn Bourbon. Master Blender Nancy Fraley meticulously orchestrated a bizarre yet brilliant mashbill featuring thirty-six percent Jimmy Red corn. You are tasting an absolute masterpiece. The heavy Texas heat forcefully extracts incredibly dense, resinous sugars from the deeply charred white oak barrels over six grueling summers of maturation.
This isn't your polite, everyday Kentucky sipper. The unique Jimmy Red corn varietal aggressively injects a distinctly savory, robust nuttiness that beautifully tames the twenty-five percent rye spice backbone. Bottling at exactly one hundred proof dictates a sophisticated, velvet-heavy mouthfeel without inflicting a blinding, abrasive ethanol burn on your palate. We genuinely adore this unapologetic, viscous profile. It drinks like absolute velvet.
Seasonal vintage releases permanently vanish once the heavily allocated supply runs completely dry. Collectors fiercely hunt these seasonal bottles. Finding a robust, unfiltered Texas bourbon balancing bright strawberry soda sweetness with deeply resinous antique leather feels like uncovering a priceless liquid artifact. Missing out on this unrepeatable masterclass in blending feels like an absolutely devastating oversight for any serious whiskey collection.
