Tantalus Vineyards, located on the eastern slopes of the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada, is renowned for its commitment to producing exceptional single-vineyard wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Established in 2004, the winery has built a reputation for crafting high-quality Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, with some of the country's oldest vinifera plantings forming the backbone of their estate.
Wine Description
The Tantalus Chardonnay presents a shimmery gold hue in the glass, offering inviting aromas of lemon curd, fresh orange zest, buttered popcorn, and hazelnut praline, all elevated by a flinty minerality. On the palate, it is concentrated and textured, showcasing flavors of white peach, green papaya, ambrosia apple, and lemon oil. The wine achieves a harmonious balance between its weight and acidity, with subtle French oak influence that complements rather than overpowers the fruit.
