VooPoo Argus G3 Mini Review
The 1350mAh built-in battery provides all-day vaping for most users, typically lasting 8-12 hours depending on your usage patterns. The 30W maximum output gives you plenty of headroom for both MTL and RDL vaping styles, though honestly, you'll rarely need to push it beyond 20W with the included pods. The Smart Mode automatically adjusts the wattage based on your coil resistance, too, so you don't have to worry about choosing the right settings.
The 2ml top-fill pods provide a really strong, clear flavour, and feature a leak-resistant design that minimises the risk of mess. Unlike many smaller devices that compromise on versatility, the G3 Mini genuinely excels at both mouth-to-lung and restricted direct lung vaping thanks to its adjustable airflow system. After testing the Argus G3 Mini vape for over a week, I truly couldn't be happier with it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Voopoo Argus G3 Mini suitable for beginners?
Absolutely - the Smart Mode functionality makes it incredibly user-friendly for newcomers. The device automatically adjusts settings based on your coil, eliminating guesswork whilst still providing excellent performance that won't leave you wanting to upgrade immediately.
How long does the 1350mAh battery typically last?
For moderate users (100-150 puffs daily), expect 8-12 hours of usage. Heavy vapers might need to charge mid-day, but the USB-C charging is quick enough that a 30-minute top-up during lunch provides several more hours of vaping.
What's the difference between the 0.7Ω and 1.2Ω coils?
The 1.2Ω coil delivers tighter mouth-to-lung draws similar to cigarettes, whilst the 0.7Ω option provides slightly more vapour production for restricted direct lung vaping. Both produce excellent flavour, though the 1.2Ω tends to be more economical with e-liquid consumption.
Can I use any e-liquid with this device?
The G3 Mini works best with 50/50 VG/PG e-liquids or those with slightly higher PG content. Avoid high-VG liquids (above 70% VG) as they may not wick properly in the small pods, potentially causing dry hits.
How do I know when to replace the pod?
You'll notice diminished flavour quality, a slight burnt taste, or visible darkening of the coil through the pod's transparent sections. Typically, pods last 1-2 weeks, though this varies significantly based on your e-liquid choice and vaping frequency.
Does the device have any safety features?
Yes, it includes standard protections like short circuit protection, low voltage cutoff, and 10-second puff timeout. The Smart Mode also prevents you from accidentally setting inappropriate wattages for your installed coil.
What colours are available for the Argus G3 Mini?
The device comes in several attractive finishes including classic black, vibrant hot pink, and other seasonal colours. The finish quality is generally excellent, though lighter colours may show wear more readily with heavy use.
Is there a warranty on the Voopoo Argus G3 Mini?
Voopoo provides a standard manufacturer warranty covering defects, though this doesn't extend to normal wear items like pods and coils. Keep your purchase receipt as proof of purchase date for any warranty claims.
